ZAGREB, 15 February 2026 – Lelek will represent Croatia at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Austria.

Lelek earned the right to represent Croatia at the 70th edition of Eurovision Song Contest after they won the 2026 Dora contest held on Sunday night in Zagreb with their song “Andromeda”.

Lelek, who beat 16 finalists after voting from both the public and judges, consists of Inka Večerina Perušić, Judita Štorga, Korina Olivia Rogić, Lara Brtan, and Marina Ramljak and they like to combine the richness of Croatian traditional music with a modern sound.

“Andromeda” is an atmospheric, cinematic ethno-pop track with powerful vocals, dramatic builds, and elements drawing from Croatian/Bosnian historical and cultural themes.

The song addresses generational trauma, resistance, and the strength of women across generations, particularly in the context of historical oppression like during Ottoman rule in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Catholic women used practices like “sicanje” tattooing crosses on their skin to mark their faith and identity against forced conversion or enslavement.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will take place in Vienna, Austria from 12-16 May.

Croatia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 30 times since making its debut at the 1993 contest. Croatia’s best result in the contest was in 2024 when Baby Lasagna came 2nd with his hit Rim Tim Tagi Dim.
