Croatia to play England and Spain in Rijeka and Split

ZAGREB, 26 February 2026 – The Executive Board of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has confirmed the venues for Croatia’s upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.

Meeting in Zagreb, the Board determined that Croatia will host England on 3 October in Rijeka (18:00), while Spain will visit Split three days later on 6 October (20:45).

England in Rijeka – Behind Closed Doors

Croatia will welcome England at the Rujevica Stadium in Rijeka. However, due to a disciplinary sanction imposed by UEFA, the match will be played behind closed doors, without spectators.

Spain Clash at Poljud

Three days later, on 6 October, the Vatreni will face Spain at Stadion Poljud in Split. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:45.

Nations League Schedule

Croatia will begin their Nations League campaign away from home. The opening match will take place in the Czech Republic on 26 September, followed by an away trip to Spain on 29 September.

After the two October home fixtures against England and Spain, Croatia will travel to England on 12 November before concluding their group stage campaign at home against the Czech Republic on 15 November.
