Croatia drops one place in latest FIFA World Rankings

Croatia beats Cyprus to remain top of World Cup qualifying group

ZAGREB, 21 October 2021 – Croatia has dropped one place in the latest FIFA World Rankings which were released on Thursday.

After a 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying victory over Cyprus (3:0) and a draw with Slovakia (2:2), Croatia has dropped one place and is now ranked 18th in the world. 

The new FIFA rankings were made on the basis 160 World Cup qualifying matches, friendlies and the finals of the Nations League in October. 

Belgium has managed to hold on to the number one spot, with Brazil and France are second and third respectively. 

Croatia faces Malta and Russia in November in their final two World Cup qualifying group matches.
