Croatia Cracks 2 Million Tourists

More than 2 million tourists have visited Croatia in 2013, according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics.

2.1 million tourists visited Croatian shores in the first five months of the year, with 48%, or 1.01 million, coming individually, up 5.8% on 2012’s numbers, whilst 52% arrived as part of organised tours, again, up 6.6% compared to last year. The number of foreign tourists totalled 736,700 up until June, an increase of 7.2% from 2012. There was also an increase in the number of local Croatian tourists who visited holiday destinations in the first five months of the year, with 2.1% more than last year.
