Croatia Beat Australia To Make Semi Final At World Water Polo Champs

After racking up 40 goals and conceding only two in their last two matches, Croatia had to work a lot harder on Tuesday to overcome Australia in the quarter-final of the World Water Polo Championships in Spain.

With the scorers locked at 5:5 with just seconds on the clock remaining, Australia had a golden opportunity to seal victory when they hit the post. They were made to pay for the miss when Croatia got the upper hand in extra-time, coming away winners 7:6 and setting up a semi-final on Thursday with Hungary.
