Croatia Apply to Host European Football Championships

HNSThe Croatian FA on Monday have confirmed their interest in hosting two European Championships…

Hrvatski Nogometni Savez (HNS) have sent a letter of interest to UEFA to host the U-17 Women’s European Championship in 2017, and also the U-19 Men’s European Championship in 2018. Croatia have yet to host a European football championship, but successfull hosted the 2012 European Futsal Champions. UEFA will make a decision from the candidates in January 2015.
“We are sure that hosting these competitions will be important for our football. Not just from a sporting aspect, but also because of much-needed investment in infrastructure and organising experience, which these competitions will give us,” said HNS technical director Romeo Jozak.
