Croatia Airlines swap plastic cups for paper cups on all flights

ZAGREB, 4 June 2019 – Plastic cups are now history on Croatia Airlines flights. From yesterday, plastic cups have been removed from all Croatia Airlines flights. 

All alcoholic, non-alcoholic and warm drinks are being served in paper cups now on Croatia Airlines, the company announced. 

!In line with current trends and legal requirements in the area of environmental protection, Croatia Airlines is discontinuing the use of plastic cups on all flights as of today. The use of paper cups will additionally raise the quality of our services, as well as promote a positive relationship towards the environment,” Croatia Airlines said.

By using paper cups, Croatia Airlines will remove 26 tons of plastic which they use annually. Last year Croatia Airlines transported 2.17 million passengers.
