ZAGREB, March 30 (Hina) – Croatia Airlines has reduced its flight schedule due to the coronavirus pandemic, suspending all flights but those from Zagreb to Frankfurt, Brussels, Amsterdam and London, the national flag carrier said on Monday.

Following the order by the national civil protection service banning people from leaving their place of residence, Croatia Airlines has suspended all flights within Croatia from 25 March to 19 April. With the summer flight schedule starting as of 29 March, the scope of flights has been reduced to direct flights from Zagreb to Frankfurt, Brussels, Amsterdam and London Heathrow.

The airline said that these flights are operated to ensure connectivity between Croatia and Europe and the rest of the world, while at the same time making it possible for Croatian nationals to return home and foreign nationals to return to their respective home countries.

It said that further changes to the already reduced flight schedule were possible depending on the development of the epidemiological situation in Croatia and abroad and recommendations by Croatian and foreign public health authorities.

The company advised passengers to visit its website and check the status of their flight beforehand.
