CRO Race joins UCI ProSeries, men’s elite road cycling tour

ZAGREB, 4 July (Hina) – The 11th edition of the CRO Race, Croatia’s biggest cycling race, will be held in the UCI ProSeries category for the first time, joining the elite calendar of the world’s leading multi-stage professional road races, organisers has recently said.
The race will start in Split on 22 September and finish in Zagreb on the 27th.
With its promotion to the ProSeries category, the CRO Race joins a calendar featuring 15 WorldTour stage races and 26 ProSeries stage races.
This year’s edition will feature eight UCI WorldTeams and 10 UCI ProTeams, the strongest line-up in the race’s history.
The confirmed UCI WorldTeams are Bahrain Victorious, Lidl-Trek, Movistar Team, NSN Cycling Team, Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe, Soudal Quick-Step, UAE Team Emirates XRG and Uno-X Mobility.
The UCI ProTeams are Bardiani CSF 7 Saber, Burgos Burpellet BH, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, Equipo Kern Pharma, Euskaltel-Euskadi, MBH Bank Ballan CSB, Modern Adventure Pro Cycling, Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, Solution Tech Vini Fantini and Team Polti VisitMalta.
