Cristiano Ronaldo’s son to play in Croatia

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, the eldest son of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, is set to showcase his talents in Croatia this month after being called up for the first time to Portugal’s U15 national team.

The 14-year-old, who currently captains the youth team of Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, has previously played in the youth ranks of European giants Juventus and Manchester United.

Now, he will represent Portugal at the 7th edition of the Vlatko Marković international U15 tournament, which will take place from 13–18 May in four northern Croatian towns: Ludbreg, Čakovec, Kotoriba and Sveti Martin na Muri.

The tournament has once again attracted some of the world’s strongest youth national teams, making it one of the most competitive U15 tournaments globally.

Portugal will compete in Group B alongside England, Japan and Greece, while Group A features hosts Croatia, France, Switzerland and Romania.

Petar Krpan, chief instructor of the Croatian Football Federation, expressed his pride in the event’s growing reputation.

“I’m pleased we’ve maintained such a high level of quality and once again brought major football nations to Croatia. It’s proof of the tournament’s strong reputation worldwide. I’m confident the teams will offer great football over five days, and I hope our Croatian squad, led by coach Sreten Ćuk, will relish the opportunity to face some of the best in the world,” Krpan said.
