The complex, which includes a special clinic for healing tumors, dependence hotels, apartments, wellness and spas, sports facilities and restaurants, will open up 1,300 jobs on the island when it is complete. Necessary permits and documentation are expected to be obtained by the end of this year.

“A clinic with revolutionary methods of curing the worst kind of tumors will lift Nerežišća, Brač and Croatia to the top of the world for medical tourism. Our country will be right along side Germany, Austria, Italy and Japan,” said the head of Nerežišća’s council.

One of the investors in the project is Malta-headquartered Croatian Land Holdings Plc, who have invested in similar projects in Italy, reports Poslovni.hr.
