CNN In Zagreb

Beamed into more than 250 million homes across the world, crew from American TV station CNN have spent the day in the Croatian capital Zagreb to film a feature for its tennis programme Open Court.

After featuring tournaments such as the Australian Open in Melbourne and Roland Garros in Paris recently, the PBZ Zagreb Indoors tennis tournament has intrigued the Americans. The show spent the day with Croatia’s most famous tennis player, Goran Ivanisevic, as he gave them a behind the scenes look at the tournament. Ivanisevic is a co-director of the tournament which started on Monday. CNN Open Court will also take a look at the city of Zagreb and what makes it one the player’s favourite tournament of the year.

Another big name in Croatian tennis, former world number 3 Ivan Ljubicic, is also this year involved in the tournaments organisation. The final will be played on Sunday with top seed Marin Cilic of Croatia, who has made it comfortably through to the quarter-finals. looking for his third title in Zagreb.
