Christian Brother Sells Church Land And Vanishes With 1 Million Euros

A 34-year-old Christian Brother, described as a playboy, from the Dalmatian town of Baska Voda has sold 40,000 square metres of parish land in nearby Basko Polje, and vanished with a cool one million euros of profits, reports newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija.

The crooked Brother found investors and sold the land after the church were refused permits from the Split-Makarska diocese to expand the existing St.Nicholas Church in Baska Voda. After the money was cleared in the bank account, the brother withdrew the cash in three seperate withdrawals and there has been no sign of him since.

Baska Voda locals have a few theories as to where the Christian Brother and the cash maybe, including that a femme fatale urged him to purchase a yacht.
