Champions League Draw: Modric v Borussia Dortmund – Mandzukic v Barcelona

Croatia team-mates and good friends Mario Mandzukic and Luka Modric have avoided squaring off against each other in the UEFA Champions League semi-final after the draw was made at UEFA HQ in Nyon on Friday.
Mandzukic, whose second half goal against Juventus this week helped his side get through to the semi-final, will miss the first leg against Barcelona aftter being booked on Wednesday night, meanwhile Modric will again play a key role in Real Madrid’s attempt to give coach Jose Mourinho his 3rd Champions Leage title with as many clubs when they take on Germany’s Borussia Dortmund . The first leg of the semis will be played on 23 and 24 April with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich both at home. The return legs will be played on 30 April and 1 May with the final to be played at London’s Wembley Stadium on 25 May.
