Car Sales Halved In Croatia

The dramatic drop in the number of new car sales in Croatia has continued into the new year. In January there were 1,814 new cars sold, nearly half the amount that were sold in January 2012, according registration data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The most sold brand of vehicle in January was again the Volkswagen with 234 sold or 12.9% of the market. Renault was the second most popular brand, followed by Kia, Open, Hyundai, Peugeot, Citroen and Skoda. There were diesel vehicles sold (59%) than petrol (41%) in January.
