Candidates for the next Croatian Michelin star restaurant

Next month, Michelin will announce its annual stars and recommendations for European restaurants.

Croatia currently has three restaurants with Michelin stars, Monte in Rovinj, which was the first restaurant awarded in Croatia in 2017, and Pelegrini in Šibenik and Dubrovnik’s 360 awarded last year.

This year, Croatia could get another Michelin star restaurant, or maybe even two. The strict criteria to satisfy Michelin means serving up delicious food using quality ingredients is not enough on its own. Preparation, consistency and the interior design of the restaurant are also things taken into account.

Here is a look at six restaurants in Croatia which could (or should) be on Michelin’s radar.

Boškinac – Pag

Boškinac, a restaurant, winery and a hotel, is a place to enjoy the peace under the pine trees, near the olive grove and rich vineyards of the island of Pag. Its beautiful setting and delicious menu make it a perfect place for the gourmets and wine lovers.
