California Concert to Support Croatia’s Future Leaders

Croatia’s famous cello duo 2CELLOS will perform a humanitarian concert at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City, California on 14 October, with proceeds going to the Croatian Scholarship Fund.

The Croatian Scholarship Fund is a non-political, charitable, non-profit organisation which was established in 1989 in Northern California.

The organisation’s primary focus is to develop leaders for Croatia’s future by providing financial assistance to highly qualified students of Croatian origin, living in Croatia or Bosnia-Herzegovina, so that they may attend a university in Croatia.

The Fox Theatre has hosted some famous artists during  its 80-year history, including Etta James, Neil Young, Melissa Ethridge, and BB King.

2CELLOS members Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser shot to fame after uploading a music video of their cello-only cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” to YouTube.

The pair, who are signed to Sony Masterworks, accompanied Elton John on his summer tour and have appeared on major talk shows in the US.
