2017 Water Polo World Championship: Croatia Stay Unbeaten

The Croatian water polo team have come from behind to remain unbeaten at the 2017 Water Polo World Championships in Budapest on Wednesday.

The Croatians, who beat the USA in their opening match on Monday 12:7, were down 3:1 to Russia after the first quarter today but a strong third quarter would seem to victory in the end 10:8.

Croatia finished the first half 6:4 down but took the lead by outscoring their opponents 4:1 in the third quarter to lead 8:7. They managed to hold onto the lead and after two rounds have maximum points.

Croatia is in Group D with USA, Japan, and Russia. They face Japan next up.  with the final of the 2017 FINA World Championships to be played on 29 July.

The 2017 FINA World Championship will conclude with the final on 29 July.
