Burger Festival Zagreb returns with 56 burgers and 17 vendors

ZAGREB, 27 August 2026 – Zagreb’s popular Burger Festival returns to Trg dr. Franje Tuđmana from 10 to 20 September 2026, bringing together 17 vendors and a menu of 56 burgers ranging from classic combinations to more experimental creations.

The festival will feature Croatian chefs and street food concepts alongside international influences, with burgers inspired by Istria, Belgrade, America, Asia and the Mediterranean.

Among the highlights is Farabuto from Labin, which will bring Istrian flavours to the festival with its Žgvacet burger, combining chicken stew, mature cow’s cheese, caramelised onion and homemade tomato sauce. Other creations include burgers inspired by jota and Istrian ingredients.

Belgrade-based Ž burger, known for its dry-aged beef and house-made sauces, will make its Zagreb appearance with creations including the Pistać burger with mozzarella, grilled mortadella and pistachio pesto.

Returning names include Institut za Burgere by Mate Janković, Chef’s Burger by Ivan Pažanin and last year’s festival winner Chubby Chuck’s. Point 99 will also return with three burgers, including a double-smash creation featuring roasted pepper and cheese.

Several vendors will focus on more unusual combinations. Bold. will serve a Bone Marrow burger with dry-aged beef and roasted bone marrow mayonnaise, while Rougemarin Burger Gramatika will present six burgers representing different burger styles, including White Castle, California Animal Style and New York-inspired preparations.

Festival debutants Smashville will combine burgers with playful ingredients including pistachio sauce and crispy kadaif, while Grof Lovski will use Croatian game meat from its own production.

The programme will also include Asian-Latin fusion, seafood burgers, cocktails, mini doughnuts, wine, competitions, masterclasses, quizzes and live music.

Among the additional attractions will be Crofna’s six-flavour mini doughnuts, Wine & Paint, a BBQ masterclass, burger and chilli-eating competitions, arm wrestling and outdoor entertainment.
