Bosnia And Croatia To Battle For Teenage Star

A battle looks set to be brewing between the football federations of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the services of Dinamo Zagreb’s 16-year-old nicknamed the “Balkan Messi”.

Dinamo Zagreb Chairman Zdravko Mamic has confirmed that the club yesterday received an official request from the Bosnia and Herzegovina football federation for Alen Halilovic to join their national side when they assemble for their next match.

Halilovic however, was still undecided, saying it was a great honour but that a decision on who he would play his international football for would wait a bit longer. Halilovic qualifies to play for both Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina
