Bookies Make Croatia Third Favourites

The bookies have made Croatia the third favourites to win the World Cup after last night’s dramatic penalty-shootout win over Denmark.
Croatia were outsiders at the start of the tournament but after impressive performances in the group stages against Nigeria, Argentina and Iceland, their odds shortened to 8th favourites.

After last night’s 3-2 win on penalties bookies shortened their odds even further and now Croatia is third favourites with England and Belgium to win the World Cup.
All three nations are at odds of 7.00, whilst France and Brazil are favourites at 5.00. Behind Croatia is Uruguay at 15.00, with Columbia and Russia, Croatia’s opponents in the quarterfinal at 20.00.

Switzerland is at 35.00, Mexico and Sweden at 50.00, whilst Japan is the rank outsider at 150.
At the start of the tournament, Croatia was the 12th favourite at odds of 33.00.
