Big National Pršut Fair Set to be Hosted in Sinj

The best pršut producers in the country will gather once again in the inland Dalmatian town of Sinj for the 12th National Pršut and Cured Meat fair.

The fair, which is one of the biggest in the region, will be held this year from 8-9 April in Sinj in the Split-Dalmatia County.

For the 12th year in the row the fair will see the leading pršut and cured meat producers in Croatia, as well as guest producers from abroad gather to present their delicacies to a large crowd that is expected to turn out once again to the popular fair.

The fair will also have an educational and competition aspect. Lectures and expert roundtables will be held, and also a competition to judge the best pršuts and cured meat products at the fair.

“So far 55 producers from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have registered for this year’s fair, including from Drniš, Krk and Istria,” organisers say.

Pršut from the areas of Drniš in Dalmatia, the island of Krk and Istria have all been protected at EU level.

As well as pršut and cured meats, visitors will be able to try cheeses, olive oil, soparnik, homemade bead and wine at the fair.
