Bayer to donate €50,000 and 8,000 surgical masks to Croatian hospitals

ZAGREB, April 21 (Hina) – Bayer pharmaceutical company will make a €50,000 donation to the Croatian state budget and will also donate 8,000 masks to Croatian hospitals and medical staff, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.

Croatia seriously approached the coronavirus situation, which was made worse by a recent earthquake in Zagreb, and this is why Croatian citizens need all the support they can get, said Andreja Smolnikar Prah, director of Bayer Croatia.

Aside from donations, two Bayer employees are volunteering in a call centre set up for citizens regarding the  COVID-19 infection. Another Bayer employee is volunteering on medicine delivery service for people in self-isolation
