Ferry company ‘Jadrolinija’ sent an emergency ferry for the heavily pregnant woman at around 3:45am on Sunday morning to transport her, and medical staff, to the island of Krk. The baby could not hang on however for the 25-minute ferry journey and at around 4:00am the woman gave birth to a baby girl on the ‘Kornati’ ferry. The ferry arrived on Krk at 4:10am and the mother and baby were then driven to the hospital in Rijeka. Mother and baby are doing well. (photo / Jadrolinija)
