ZAGREB, 20 February 2021 – After a long break caused by the pandemic, Austrian Airlines is set to resume flights to Croatia.

Aviation portal Croatian Aviation has reported that Austrian Airlines will again operate routes to three Croatian cities – Dubrovnik, Split and Zagreb.

Vienna – Zagreb – Vienna

Austrian Airlines will recommence this route from Sunday 28 March and will operate the service four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

A E195 aircraft with a capacity of 120 seats will be used for the flights.

Vienna – Dubrovnik – Vienna

Austrian Airlines will recommence the Dubrovnik route also from Sunday 28 March and will operate the service first two times a week on Thursdays and Fridays for the first part of April before increasing to four weekly services from the last week of the month.

Vienna – Split – Vienna

The Split service, like Dubrovnik, will start with with less frequency but increase to four weekly flights from the middle of April on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

“The return of Austrian Airlines is important news for the three mentioned Croatian airports. Although this is a smaller number of flights than it was in 2019, given the current situation Austrian Airlines will offer an enviable number of flights to Croatia in the pre-season, Croatian Aviation said.
