The fourth Asian Street Food Festival in Zagreb will not take place as first announced from 13 to 19 May, but instead will take place from 18-24 May, organisers said today.
The week-long event, held at Trg Josipa Jurja Strossmayera., is the only festival of its kind in the region dedicated to Asian cultures, and will feature 11 food stalls offering dishes inspired by countries including Japan, Korea, China, Thailand and Sri Lanka, as well as Dubai-inspired flavours.
Visitors can expect a wide range of street food favourites, from bao buns, sushi and gyoza to Sri Lankan curries and Thai classics.
Highlights include creative fusion dishes, seafood and meat specialities, and a variety of desserts such as matcha ice cream, mango sticky rice and Japanese-style pancakes.

The festival also serves as a platform for local chefs and well-known Zagreb eateries to present new concepts and dishes.
Several participants will introduce exclusive items created specifically for the event, offering visitors an early look at upcoming culinary projects.

Alongside the food offering, a varied programme of workshops and activities will run throughout the week. These include cooking demonstrations, a wok workshop, matcha and mochi preparation sessions, as well as family-friendly activities such as origami.
