Ana Konjuh Secures Wimbledon Debut

CroatiaCroatia’s brightest teenage tennis hopeful Ana Konjuh has secured a place in the Wimbledon main draw…

The 16-year-old Dubrovnik-born sensation, who already has junior Australian and US Open titles under her belt, beat Stephanie Vogt from Lichtenstein 7:5, 6:3 on Thursday in the last round of qualifying for the year’s 3rd Grand Slam.

Currently ranked 188th in the WTA rankings, Konjuh brushed aside Spain’s Estrella Cabeza Candela and Germany’s Laura Siegemund earlier in the week to secure her place in the Wimbledon main draw for the first time. Konjuh has already made her Grand Slam debut at the Australian Open this year.
