For those who want to get rid of a bit of stress and take their frustrations out on something, a recently opened rage room in Zagreb is offering ‘consequence-free’ smashing and destroying of objects.

Rage rooms, or smash rooms as they are also known, first opened in Japan over a decade ago with the concept spreading around the world.

Smashit, which opened last year is the first of its kind in the Croatian capital.

The menu at Smashit ranges from as low as 50 kuna, which lets you smash up five small and two large glass objects, up to 440 kuna which lets you exhibit your inner Hulk by taking a weapon to a number of glass objects and plates, and an electronic item such as a large printer. There are also various priced options in between.

You can also bring your own stuff to break for 90 kuna, as long as they are not potentially dangerous or contain hazardous substances. There is also a boxing box and other ways to vent your frustrations.

So far the reviews have been largely positive.

“I came in and wasn’t even that stressed, but saw it from the street and had to try it. It is just amazing because you can do something like this without anyone judging you, and you don’t have to clean anything. You can get as much of safety gear as you want, and the staff is really nice,” Ana says.

Smashit is located on Galovacka street with the entrance from Vukovarska. More details can be found on the website.
