Alen Halilović Pulls Out of Croatia U-21 Squad to Finish School

Halilović (17) was due to assemble with the rest of Croatia’s U-21 side in Zagreb today ahead of their important qualifier next Wednesday against the Ukraine in Zagreb, but has pulled out to focus on finishing off the school year as soon as possible so he can then set off to Barcelona. Croatia need at least a point from next weeks qualifier to guarantee a playoff spot to qualify for the European Championships in the Czech Republic next summer.
