The 2016 European Theatre Night is to be held this Saturday on November 19 in as many as 86 institutions in 46 towns across Croatia.

Theatre visitors on the evening will have a chance to see a record 145 plays, including four premieres, free of charge as the 8th edition of the event under the motto “A Kingdom for Culture” takes place.

European Theatre Night will also take place in other nations, including Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Serbia.

The purpose of European Theatre Night is to promote professional and amateur theatre by establishing collaborations and exchanging finished theatre productions as well as by creating new ones, by opening up theatre networks and by ensuring continued care for devoted theatre goers as well as for new audiences.
