62-Year-Old Man Dies From Head Wounds On Croatian ‘Party’ Island

zrceA 62-year-old Physical Education teacher who was found in the early hours of Tuesday morning unconscious on the Katarelac beach in Zrce on the island of Pag, had died in hospital yesterday.

The man, from the capital Zagreb, was found at 4am on the beach with visible head wounds, and daily Vecernji list reports that the wounds were the result of him being struck with an ‘object’. Zrce is renowned for being one of the main party destinations in Croatia during the summer months, with several all-hours discos and beach bars operating and hosting regular internationally known house and trance DJs. Police investigations into the death continue.
