ZAGREB, 6 May 2026 – The 60th edition of the International Garden Exhibition Floraart will take place from 14 to 17 May 2026 at Bundek Park in Zagreb, bringing four days of exhibitions, educational programmes and entertainment for visitors of all ages.

Recognised as the city’s leading horticultural event, Floraart attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. This year’s jubilee edition was announced by Deputy Mayor Luka Korlaet, Zrinjevac branch manager Božena Cvitanović and landscape architect Marita Burić Teskera.

Speaking at a press conference, Korlaet highlighted Zagreb’s ongoing investment in green infrastructure, including the expansion of green zones through urban planning changes and the annual planting of around 8,000 trees.

He said Floraart serves not only as a showcase of horticultural design but also as a platform for education in floristry and urban planting.

The exhibition will feature 18 outdoor floral installations across Bundek Park, alongside 16 indoor displays in the Small Dome. Entry will be free for all visitors.

Exhibitors from Croatia and six European countries, Italy, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Denmark, the Czech Republic and Poland, will present works inspired by this year’s theme, “Water – Source of Life”, reflecting the importance of water as a resource in the context of climate change.

Floraart continues to emphasise its educational role, offering more than 15 workshops on plant care and cultivation, along with over 10 expert lectures covering trends in horticulture and urban green space management.

The programme also includes professional competitions, such as the Croatian Florist Cup and a contest for secondary school students, with entries displayed in the exhibition dome.

Alongside the exhibition, visitors can attend 13 live music concerts held on a floating pontoon during the afternoons and evenings. More than 40 producers will take part in a plant and gardening product fair.

A dedicated children’s programme will feature theatre performances by three groups and free workshops in the Floragrad area.

Marking six decades of Floraart, parts of this year’s programme will extend into Zagreb’s city centre, where the exhibition originally began in 1966. Floral installations have been placed at Cvjetni Square and Manduševac Fountain, while a retrospective exhibition in Zrinjevac Park will trace the event’s development and its role in the evolution of urban horticulture.

From its first edition, which attracted 130,000 visitors, Floraart has grown into a recognised symbol of spring in Zagreb, organisers said.

To mark the anniversary, Zrinjevac has also published a monograph titled 60 Floral Stories of Zagreb, which will be presented during the event.

Italy is the partner country of this year’s Floraart, with a meeting of Croatian and Italian business representatives scheduled as part of the programme.
