ZAGREB, 6 April (Hina) – With less than four days to go until the fifth WRC Croatia Rally, one of the country’s most anticipated sporting events, organisers said the championship caravan will pass through Primorje-Gorski Kotar, Istria, Karlovac and Lika-Senj counties.
The rally starts in Rijeka on Thursday and ends with the winners’ ceremony in Opatija on Sunday.
A key hub will be the service park at Grobnik, open from Thursday to Sunday, where teams service cars between stages.
Visitors can watch mechanics prepare vehicles under tight time pressure, with fan zones, driving simulators, official merchandise and food and drink also on site.
Action begins on Thursday with the shakedown, a test stage for final set-up, followed on Friday by the FIA “Meet the Crews” event, offering fans access to leading drivers and teams.
A total of 51 crews will pass through the service park, typically at one-minute intervals, ensuring continuous on-site action.
Over the past four years, the WRC in Croatia has attracted more than one million spectators on-site, with television coverage reaching almost 100 million viewers per season in over 160 countries.
