30 August 2020 – The small Croatian town of Jaškovo, near Ozalj, which previously held the Guinness record for the world’s longest strudel – 1,479.38 metres – is continuing the story of its favourite pastry.
The 5th edition of the festival dedicated to the strudel, Strudel Fest, will be held on in September with a number of events. This year, due to the coronavirus and the resulting measures, there are changes to the way Strudel Fest will be held.
Restaurants in the Karlovac county will prepare strudels at discounted prices from 4 – 13 September. Below is a poster of the restaurants taking part, whilst various strudels will be on offer at stands every day in Jaškovo.
Along with strudels, there will be a series of art, gastro, and bike workshops and the unique Nikola Faller will again be visiting on September 5 when he will make a giant straw bicycle in Jaškovo.
