Three Croatian stadiums among world’s most interesting

Three Croatian football stadiums were named among the 31 most interesting stadiums in the world by popular Spanish daily AS.
Those three stadiums are:
Gospin Dolac – Imotski

Situated in Zvonimir Boban’s hometown of Imotski, Stadion Gospin Dolac was built in 1989 and one impressive ground. It is located near the red and blue lakes on the cliff edge with a 500m plunge below.
The stadium is incredibly photogenic from the air.
Kantrida Stadium – Rijeka

Located in the port city of Rijeka, Kantrida was the former home ground of NK Rijeka up until 8 years ago. The stadium is being renovated so the club has temporarily shifted, but this stadium has featured regularly on world’s most spectacular stadium lists thanks to its steep cliffs on one side and the Adriatic Sea on the other.

Batarija Stadium – Trogir

Batarija Stadium in Trogir on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast is unique in that it is bordered on three sides by protected cultural monuments, the Kamerlengo Fortress and the Tower of St. Mark on the north and south sides, while west of the stadium is the Marmont Gloriette, a hexagonal stone monument.
Batarija is known as the home of the Trogir Football Club, founded in 1912.
