ZAGREB, April 4 (Hina) – Twenty-four journalists from 16 countries were due to arrive in Zadar on Thursday for the Golden Pen award ceremony taking place on Saturday, Croatia’s National Tourist Board (HTZ) said, recalling that its awards will be presented for the 15th consecutive year to foreign media for features on Croatia as a tourist destination.

The foreign journalists, including bloggers and influencers, will stay in Croatia until Sunday, visiting numerous attractive tourist locations in Zadar County such as the towns of Starigrad Paklenica and Nin, Mount Velebit, Ugljan island, and the Tuna, Sushi & Wine event in Zadar.

“We are pleased to be able to host and award foreign journalists this year again who, with their media features, contributed to the visibility of Croatia as a tourist destination and its products,” HTZ director Kristjan Stanicic said.

The journalists arrived from media companies from the UK, the Netherlands, Russia, Italy, the US, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Ukraine, Sweden, Denmark, Spain and Slovenia.

The HTZ presents the Golden Pen awards in three categories: best print media feature, best electronic media feature, and best blog post.
