VUKOVAR, 9 May 2025 – The Croatian city of Vukovar is set for a major tourism and economic transformation with the announcement of a new luxury hotel, “Vukovar Tower,” which will be developed by Immo Invest Partner and operated by global hospitality leader Accor Group.
Speaking at a press conference, Mayor Ivan Penava confirmed that the building permit has been issued, paving the way for demolition of the existing hotel and construction of a striking new 50-metre-high, 14-storey hotel in the city centre.
The investment is valued at approximately €40 million, marking the largest private investment in Vukovar since the Homeland War.
The hotel, part of one of Accor’s 45 international brands, will feature around 150 rooms, modern congress facilities, restaurants, parking and more.

With over 5,700 properties worldwide, Accor’s presence in Vukovar is expected to significantly increase tourist numbers, extend visitor stays, and position the city as a regional hub for congress tourism.
“This is a proud moment. Not only are we bringing a world-leading hotel group to Vukovar, but we are also revitalising the heart of our city,” Mayor Penava said.

Although the official project deadline is seven years from permit approval, the hotel is expected to be completed well ahead of schedule.
