$10,000 for a better tomorrow: Croatian startup TDA helps American SciNote digitalize science

TDA and SciNote

Croatian Startup TDA awarded SciNote for their best digital project. SciNote is a top-rated platform for researchers in academia or industry, who need electronic lab notebooks, inventory management, and project management functionalities. With $10,000 dollars in project funding, TDA gave its contribution to science.

Zagreb, 29 April 2019 – At the beginning of January this year, TDA created a competition to find the best digital project worldwide named the “Digital Project Competition for Companies”. TDA got the chance to showcase their service in various competitions and proved that hard work does pay off.

TDA decided to give back to its community by creating a competition to find the best global projects and to earn a chance to compete for $10,000 in project funding. The competition was closed on the 15th of March, 2019. The reason why this competition took so long to close was the high demand from the company side. The winner of the competition is the American company with offices in Ljubljana, Slovenia – SciNote.

Since we attracted companies from all around the world and their projects, our jury, that consisted of consultants, all from the digital industry, had a great challenge. The final decision was SciNote, because with this project we managed to connect the incompatible in this form – digital marketing and science. Also, SciNote’s presence on American and western-eastern market makes this project even more interesting and valuable.” – stated by Goran Deak, Founder and CEO of TDA.

SciNote is a top-rated platform for researchers in academia or industry, who need electronic lab notebooks, inventory management, and project management functionalities. The platform makes it easier for scientists to keep track and store the information during work processes and enables the visualization of every step of laboratory work. It allows them to invite members of the team to collaborate on projects, assign them permissions and roles and notify each other about the latest progress.

Jure Kumljanc, VP of Marketing for SciNote, stated:

We found out about TDA through Instagram. We discussed it [as] a team because we found the whole TDA concept quite interesting. We decided to test out the platform and publish a project. We were hoping that we will win, but we weren’t expecting it. We are really happy and satisfied because our platform and our project [were] recognized by TDA. Our vision is to digitize the sciences, make work easier for scientists, and to bring science closer to new generations. I think we’re on the right track, and this award just confirms it. We expect from this project a high-quality internet platform with modern design, customized for mobile phones.”

About TDA

TDA is the first global marketplace for companies and digital agencies in the world. We function like an online dating site for companies and digital agencies and help them connect in 3 simple steps: (i) Companies leave project requests on the site; (ii) Agencies see the projects and pitch to the company; (iii) Companies then decide whether or not to contact the agencies for further discussions. Through this process, TDA makes it possible for any company and any digital agency to meet no matter where they are in the world without needing to leave their office.
