World Cup-Winning German to Celebrate at ‘Home’ in Croatia

CroatiaWorld Cup winning German defender Mats Hummels could well be continuing celebrations from last night’s 1-0 extra-time victory over Argentina at his home in Croatia…

Hummels, whose scored Germany’s winner in their quarter-final clash with France, has three villas in the Dalmatian town of Zadar, just down the road from Croatia’s star Luka Modrić. As Zadarski list reported last year, Hummels (25) was building the villas on 1,720 square metres of land on Posedarje in Zadar. Each of the stone villas, which are located near the sea, have 170 square metres of living space.

“Soon when he will become a ‘local’ it would be nice if he could symbolically donate some money to our club HV Posedarje, so he becomes ‘one of us’,” said a local Posedarje resident.
