Wilco to Play at Zagreb’s INmusic Festival

Wilco, one of the most influential bands on the alternative and indie scene, are the latest headliners confirmed to play at Zagreb’s INmusic festival in June…

Wilco were formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1994 by the remaining members of alternative country group Uncle Tupelo following singer Jay Farrar’s departure. The band’s name stems from a derivative radio phrase, “I Will Comply”. The main driving and creative force of the band is their frontman, singer and guitarist Jeff Tweedy. His exceptional creativity and musical genius spreads beyond Wilco, and is known as a producer of several movie soundtracks.

Wilco’s music has been inspired by a wide variety of artists and styles, including Bill Fay, The Beatles and Television, and has in turn influenced music by a number of modern alternative rock acts. The band have released 9 studio albums have won a number of awards.

Wilco join Florence + The Machine, PJ Harvey, The Kooks, Yeasayer, The Heavy, Pat Thomas and Kwashibu Area Band, Monoswezi at what will be an exciting INmusic festival this year. Now in its 11th year, INmusic will be held from 20-22 June at Zagreb’s Lake Jarun.
