Welsh: “We Have A Chance If The Game Was Played On Fantasy Island Maybe”

Hundreds of Welsh football supporters took over the bars last night in downtown Zagreb, Croatia, ahead of tonight’s World Cup qualifier between the two sides.

The loyal travelling army of Welsh fans are based in the capital Zagreb and will take the four-hour train journey to the eastern Croatian city of Osijek where the match is being played today. The supporters were in good spirits, singing and mixing with the locals but at least one Welsh supporter didn’t give his side much chance against the higher ranked Croatians.

“We have a chance to win maybe if the venue was changed and the match was being played on fantasy island,” joked one Welsh supporter to a Croatia Week reporter. Judging by the amount of beer drunk, there were some happy bar proprietors in Zagreb last night.
