[VIDEO] Hajduk Fans Give Czechs Traditional Late Night Welcome Ahead of UEFA Europa League Clash

Tourists were left reaching for their mobile phones when last night in the Dalmatian city of Split when Hajduk Split’s Torcida fans performed their traditional ‘carousel’ last night…

Before every important home match Torcida organise a convoy of hundreds of scooters and cars to circle the Split streets and make a lot of noise. The ‘carousel’ is noisiest when it passes the visiting team’s hotel. The plan is to keep the opposing team players awake and disturb their quiet time ahead of the match the following day.

Last night one of the biggest ‘carousels’ in Torcida’s history was performed in Split as Czech side Slovan Liberec were in town ahead of tonight’s important UEFA Europa League qualifier. How much Torcida’s plan to keep the players awake worked will be revealed tonight. Hajduk take on Slovan at Poljud stadium at 8pm with the Czech’s holding a slender 1-0 advantage.
