VIDEO: “Flood Of The Century” In Karlovac

The central Croatian town of Karlovac was under water on Tuesday, suffering its worst flood “in centuries” after the River Kupa broke the dam wall in the centre of town.

A number of houses in the centre suffered flooding as the river’s water levels rose more than 6 metres in just 24 hours. A state of emergency will be declared if the levels reach 830 centimeters, currently they are around 770. Local residents say that today’s flood is the worst flood in the last century.
