VIDEO: Cult French Film Mag Features Croatian Film

The cult French film magazine Cahiers du cinema, in association with the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and within the Festival of Croatian Culture in France (Croatie, la voici!), prepared a special supplement dedicated to contemporary Croatian cinema, sold alongside the current November edition of the magazine on newsstands across France and the world.

Last week on newsstands across France and the world, the readers of the cult French magazine Cahiers du cinema also received a special November supplement. The supplement is dedicated to contemporary Croatian film and presents a comprehensive interview with the classic of Croatian film – Vatroslav Mimica – as well as Goran Devic and Zvonimir Juric, whose film The Blacks is called “a representative of contemporary Croatian film”.

The texts resulted from interviews with Croatian professionals from all areas of film. The author is Vincent Malausa, full-time associate of the magazine and programmer of the Days of Croatian Film, taking place in Paris 13-17 November.

The Cahiers du cinema supplement is a result of the initiative of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, which also provided logistical support to the preparation, realisation and promotion of this publication. This supplement and the Days of Croatian Film are parts of the Festival of Croatian Culture in France (Croatie, la voici!)
