UEFA’s Star of 2014: Andrej Kramarić

Croatia5721European football governing body UEFA have named NK Rijeka’s Croatian international striker Andrej Kramarić as their ‘Star of 2014’…

“Likely to be in demand once the transfer window opens, HNK Rijeka forward Andrej Kramarić scored at a rate that only Cristiano Ronaldo could better in the autumn,” wrote UEFA, before adding.

“Only Real Madrid CF’s Cristiano Ronaldo could claim to have comprehensively outscored HNK Rijeka’s Andrej Kramarić in 2014/15, with big things expected of the striker next year.”

Kramarić, who is another product of Dinamo Zagreb’s amazing youth academy, found the back of the net 21 times in 17 Croatian top-flight games, five in the UEFA Europa League group stage and two in his first four internationals. He was duly named the Croatian league’s player of the year in December.
