Tourists from 75 Countries Visit Croatia in 2015 – Who Were The TOP 10?

Citizens from more than 75 countries visited Croatia in the first 8 months of 2015, according to data released by the Croatian Tourist Board…

The most tourists, once again, arrived from Germany. Slovenia was in second place, whilst the number of Russians to visit was in decline.

There were 1.7 million German tourists in Croatia in the first 8 months, which was 6% more than the same period last year. Slovenians were in second spot with 1.1 million tourists visiting from there, 6.3% more than last year.

Local Croatian tourists were in third spot with 1.06 million registered at tourists spots around the country which was an increase of 9.1%. In fourth spot were the Austrians with 939,700 (+6.3%). Italians were in fifth spot with 913,000 (+7.2%), whilst the Czechs were 6th with 644,100 (+2.8%).

Poland were 7th with 575,000 (+4%), followed by Hungary (404,500). Tourists from the UK (380,600) (+17%) and Slovakia (370,100) (+5%) rounded out the top 10.

Just outside the top 10 and stable growth were recorded by the Dutch, Finnish and Americans. The number of Chinese to visit rose around 50% this year, and there was also growth in the number from Argentina, India, Qatar and Japan. The number of Russians declined, as did the number of tourists from Norway and Denmark.
