Tottenham Hotspurs Offer For Croatian Teenage Duo Rejected

Despite media reports late last month that English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspurs had completed a 20 million euros deal with Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb for the services of its teenage stars Alen Halilovic and Tin Jedvaj, it looks like the story has taken a twist.

The North London club on Tuesday afternoon had their bid for the two talented Croatians officially turned down, reports daily Jutarnji list. Reports suggest that money was not the main motivation for the big money bid being turned down, but because of a decision made by the family of Halilovic.

Halilovic, who became Croatia’s youngest ever debutant when he came on against Portugal last month in a friendly, spent time with his family on the island of Hvar this week where they were weighing up the offer. Jutarnji list say that Halilovic’s family think at 17 it is too soon for the star to be leaving. With Tottenham Hotspurs offer a package deal, it looks like Jedvaj will also be staying put for now. Dinamo Zagreb have reportedly recieved an attractive offer from Italian side Roma which they are weighing up.
