‘The High Sun’ Dominates as 62nd Pula Film Festival Closes

The star of this year’s festival was Dalibor Matanić and his film ‘The High Sun’, which picked up 6 Golden Arena awards.

Matanić won the Golden Arena for ‘Best Director’, with the other five Golden Arena’s for; ‘Best Festival Film’, Tihana Lazović for ‘Best Female Lead Actress’, Nives Ivanković for ‘Best Female Supporting Role’, Dado Ćosić for ‘Best Male Supporting Role’, and Ana Savić Gecan for ‘Best Costume Design’.

Earlier this year ‘The High Sun’ became the first Croatian film to make the official selection programme at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

The Golden Gate of Pula Audience Award went to the film ‘We Will Be The World Champions’ directed by Darko Bajić with an average audience mark of 4.85.
