Tanja Rudež Named European Science Writer of the Year

Tanja-RudezCroatian journalist Tanja Rudež has been named “European Science Writer of the Year” by the Association of British Science Writers…

Rudež, who writes for leading Croatian daily Jutarnji list, was judged by the jury to be the best science writer of the year ahead of a number of Europe’s best writers.

“This is the first year for our latest award, European Science Writer of the Year. The Award has provided a great opportunity to learn more about our colleagues throughout Europe and I am delighted to announce the winner, and the nominees from each country, who in effect are that country’s ‘Science Writer of the Year’,” said Martin Ince, Chair of the Judging Panel and President of the ABSW.

Rudež, who will collect her award at the ABSW Science Writers Awards Ceremony on 25 June in London, joins writers from influential media outlets such as the BBC, Guardian and New Scientist as winners at this year’s awards.
