Sundance And Emmy Winners At 9th ZagrebDox

Sundance Film Festival and Emmy winners, and Oscar nominated documentaries will be screened in the Croatian capital when the 9th ZagrebDox gets underway on 24 February.

 

180 documentaries from 30 countries around the world will screen at the 9th ZagrebDox, Southeast Europe’s largest documentary film festival. The international section this year will screen the most controversial film of the decade, American The Act of Killing by Joshua Oppenheimer.

The Controversial Dox programme will screen a documentary film nominated for this year’s Academy Award, The Gatekeepers by Dror Moreh, focusing on six former heads of Shin Betam Israeli secret service. For the first time they publicly reveal many secrets and comment on their actions and decisions they had to make in the past.

CBS America sports creative director and winner of more than 20 Emmy Aways, American-Croat Peter Radovich, will be in Zagreb with his film Game of Honor, in which he portrays the so far unseen world of football at an American military academy.

ZagrebDox will run until 3 March.
